© 2017 Chaos to Organized.

Laundry Closet: This laundry closet is just around the corner from the kitchen. It was not an efficient place to store the cooking items. Now they can be accessed more efficiently in the kitchen. This opened up the closet for the large appliances that she wanted to use more, but were previously too hard to get at. We were also able too store her her bulk dog food canister here which was previously in the walkway and difficult to get around.

Cabinets: One solution for this kitchen was relocating non-food items elsewhere. We created a system for the craft, paperwork and medicine that was previously stored in the kitchen. We moved it to a linen closet that had more space for these items. This allowed the kitchen to function more efficiently by storing like products together. Spices and food items were moved to the kitchen by category and zone: Spices, Cooking oils and fats, baking goods, etc.

After: Some additional work we did was to help this mom deal with the walls that she was not allowed to paint. They had become discolored in places and had some unsightly nail holes that bothered her. We found some affordable art to add above and to the right of the stove to strategically deal with these trouble spots. This warmed up the kitchen  and covered the trouble areas of the wall.

We also added some artwork to the adjoining laundry area as well. Bins were added behind the washing machine to store the holiday decorations that she only needs to access once a year. This allowed us to clear her upper laundry closet to store paper towels and other bulk paper goods.

After: We removed all of the items from the kitchen and placed them in the garage on tarps so that her housecleaner could come in and deep clean the kitchen from top to tail (and inside the cabinetry). While that was happening we were able to sort though and categorize all of the kitchen items. Craft items and medicine were moved to a linen closet. Items no longer serving their family were donated. The remaining items were returned to the clean kitchen using zones that allow her to use the space more efficiently. She was excited to have counter space to cook on again and reclaim time in her day!

Before: Chaos to Organized was called in to help a working mom with two very young children who had become overwhelmed by the chaos in her out-of-date rental kitchen. The lack of usable counter space to cook and excess clutter was causing her a lot of frustration and anxiety. Simple meal tasks were no longer efficient and taking too much time to perform in her already busy day.

Before: This under the space nook was overwhelmed with excess items that had been thrown in this cramped "catch all" space.

After: We created a usable space where our client could efficiently store and access her gift wrapping supplies. We worked together to sort and categorize the inventory in the cubby. This allowed us to donate, relocate and re-organize! The space was used much more efficiently by storing smaller items in a shallow wall shelf that maximized the vertical storage without overwhelming the space.

Before: Our client wanted to use her garage to park in again. It was filled with years of accumulation that was overwhelming the space.

After: We worked together to remove the items from the garage sorting them in to donate, trash, alternate storage, etc. This allowed us to send the items to the proper destination and reclaim her space. Now the items she needs to access are available to her and she is able to park her car in the garage again!

Before: This home office just needed a little extra help. Our client was very busy and this space had gotten away from her. The clutter was causing her to lose time trying to find things.

After: We worked together to create an efficient workspace that will save her time and energy every day! Even the drawers are now arranged so that all of her supplies are easily located.

Book Shelves

Before: Sometimes more is less. Our client came to us to tackle the built in books shelves in their home that were over loaded with books and no longer looked the way they wanted them to.

After: We sorted through the books and items in the shelves. Together we were able to keep only the books that the homeowner truly cherished, and donate the rest to book charities. This allows the book shelves to be styled and books to be arranged by theme.

Before: This playroom had become a catch all for all of the misplaced items in our client's home. Over time it had become a makeshift storage area that was too cluttered for her children to play in and enjoy. The misplaced items left no room for the books, games, craft supplies and toys that were initially intended to be stored in this space.

After: Working with our client, we downsized, donating the items that no longer served her family. We found proper homes for the remaining misplaced items. After doing this, we were able to make this room shine again by organizing the books, games, toys and craft supplies for her children using child friendly systems.
